Welcome to my blog. I'm an erratic blogger - sometimes I write loads and sometimes I disappear for days on end. I write about anything that comes to mind - sometimes about life, sometimes about marriage, sometimes about food and sometimes just about things that have wound me up! I have no comments because I need no-one's opinion on my life - mine is the only opinion that counts.

I'm married to Tim (delivery driver and gorgeous musician), have 2 daughters, live on the south coast of the UK and have 1 aging cat (Hemmingway or Hemmy for short). I love reading, yoga, crafts, baking, daft old comedies, music and teaching.

If you want to contact me, email me at info(at)sarahsellers(dot)co(dot)uk (replace the at and dots as necessary!)

Nutcases day out

Tim got home ridiculously early this morning from work, in fact I can't remember the last time he got home THAT early. He just said it was quite quiet and he thinks they've got "enough" drivers for now so that was why he was early. I'm feeling slightly paranoid though. I'm pretty sure it was a LOT busier this time last year and he was doing a lot of overtime. My already worried sick brain (about the house stuff) has now gone into overdrive wondering if he will end up getting the push from his job because they don't need him anymore. This has, of course, been compounded by the fact that his boss still hasn't got back to him about his contract (a week after Tim contacted him about it!). I just wish there was some way I could have some kind of reassurance that this wasn't going to happen. Ok, I'm not stupid, I realise nothing can be guaranteed for ever but a little reassurance would be nice. I'm just being silly.

Anyway, because he got home so early, we decided to head off to Tesco and do some shopping. We went to the "big" Tesco which is some distance from our home (rather than the little one up the road from us) because it's nicer and has more things (like I needed laminating stuff which they don't have in our local one). On the way back we were very nearly run off the road TWICE! UNbeliveable! The first time, we were coming down a bit of road that runs in front of the Littledown Centre towards the Cooper Dean Roundabout (and yes, I know, unless you're one of my readers that lives round here, you won't have a clue what I'm on about!). This particular bit of road has a huge design flaw (in fact, I think it's fair to say that it's designer has to be a mentalist) as it involves (depending on where you're going) an AWFUL lot of lane hopping. I can't really explain it but it's massively dangerous. However, even that cannot excuse the crazy, violent jumping from lane to lane that one guy in a van was doing - he looked like he was on one of those stupid real life cop chase shows *laughs* He narrowly missed hitting us and several other drivers. Anyway, having negotiated that and the roundabout we then headed out on to another bit of dual carriageway and were approaching our turn-off. There was a lorry right up our backside and which was threatening to clip the corner of our car as we turned (which would have sent us spinning off horribly). Tim was SO distracted by what was going on in his rear view mirror that he very nearly mounted the grass verge - wonderful. Great trip. Glad to get home in one piece!

Anyhow, relax time now - kids are in bed, time for dinner *smiles*.
