NOTICE ON PICS - All pics on this blog (unless otherwise stated) are my personal work. DO NOT take pics from this blog without seeking my permission first! Bless you.

Welcome to my blog. It is updated weekly with pictures and projects from our homeschool - maybe you can find something to inspire you :) I have a (no longer updated) materials page elsewhere on my website and will, occasionally, post my homemade materials in this blog.

I'm married to Tim (delivery driver and gorgeous musician), have 2 daughters, live on the south coast of the UK and have 1 aging cat (Hemmingway or Hemmy for short). I love reading, yoga, crafts, baking, daft old comedies, music and teaching.

On this page you can find my homeschool blog, if you want to read my general, day-to-day blog, click the link below :)

NOTE ON PICTURES: This shouldn't be necessary but I have, sadly, noticed growing cases. Please DO NOT link directly to pictures on this website - it steals my bandwidth and is BAD! I CAN trace you if you do and I will take action.

Shoe-free

I just love this hot weather - I can go without shoes!! Yay!! I HATE shoes, I like my feet to be free :)

Lately, we've done a tonne of gardening (ok, Tim has done a load of gardening!), completely blitzed Rosie's bedroom and re-arranged it a bit (I did that!), enjoyed Springwatch (nearly finished sob!) and had a barbeque and my brother came over for that.

I've been writing a home ed curriculum (secular, Montessori based, multi age) but more about that some other time soon!

April went to nursery on Monday and came home looking a little worse for wear due to the (stifling) hot weather. She was drenched in sweat and looking a bit pasty - it took 2 cups of juice, a Mini Milk and being undressed down to her nappy to get her cool again and she didn't seem too happy. I kind of thought, if she's like this after 2 and a half hours what the hell would she be like after a whole day?!! Just another thing to strengthen my resolve to home ed her I think - I can't think of anything worse than being baked in school all day (in fact I can remember it well from when it happened to me!) I especially can't imagine an outdoor child like April being especially happy in hot school for pretty much all the day :(
