NOTICE ON PICS - All pics on this blog (unless otherwise stated) are my personal work. DO NOT take pics from this blog without seeking my permission first! Bless you.

Welcome to my blog. It is updated weekly with pictures and projects from our homeschool - maybe you can find something to inspire you :) I have a (no longer updated) materials page elsewhere on my website and will, occasionally, post my homemade materials in this blog.

I'm married to Tim (delivery driver and gorgeous musician), have 2 daughters, live on the south coast of the UK and have 1 aging cat (Hemmingway or Hemmy for short). I love reading, yoga, crafts, baking, daft old comedies, music and teaching.

On this page you can find my homeschool blog, if you want to read my general, day-to-day blog, click the link below :)

NOTE ON PICTURES: This shouldn't be necessary but I have, sadly, noticed growing cases. Please DO NOT link directly to pictures on this website - it steals my bandwidth and is BAD! I CAN trace you if you do and I will take action.

Dinner out!

We went over Tim's mums today to see her so she could give April her birthday presents (some very cute stuff - dvd, rag dolly, funky jeans and Mr Men books) While we were there she invited me to go out for a meal with her, my sis-in-law and a couple of other girly friends (some time before christmas but we haven't fixed a date yet). Well of course! *smiles*. Apparently, we may be going to a place called Flame, an oriental, buffet-style restaurant in Poole. Now, I've got to be honest and say I'm really a "sit-down-and-be-served" type person - if I go to a restaurant I like to have my food brought to me so this will be a new experience that I shall approach with an open mind! There are mixed reviews about this place - some absolutely love it (the food is supposed to be gorgeous) and others say it's too packed (like sardines in a tin!) and you feel a bit like you're on some kind of gastronomic conveyor belt - y'know, quickly in, quickly out.

However, I'm nothing if not adventurous so I shall look forward to it ... be nice to have a night out anyway! Been told by hubby (jokingly, or at least I think so!) not to flirt with any "talk, dark, handsome strangers". Ha! ha! as if that was very likely with his mum and sister sat there anyway *rolls eyes* Still, you never know ;)
