Goldcrests!
Here's a new visitor to our garden! Today we saw a pair of goldcrests and we've not seen them before so it was very exciting. We had no idea what they were and only identified them after zooming in on the photos I took. What's particularly lovely is that these are classified as an "Amber" species meaning that they are slightly in decline so it's very nice to see them indeed!
They are the TINIEST little things and hop around madly all over the place so it was very difficult to get any good pics, but here are my best efforts (check out that bright yellow stripe on the head!)
Love this last one - look at the HUGE eye!
