NOTICE ON PICS - All pics on this blog (unless otherwise stated) are my personal work. DO NOT take pics from this blog without seeking my permission first! Bless you.

Welcome to my blog. It is updated weekly with pictures and projects from our homeschool - maybe you can find something to inspire you :) I have a (no longer updated) materials page elsewhere on my website and will, occasionally, post my homemade materials in this blog.

I'm married to Tim (delivery driver and gorgeous musician), have 2 daughters, live on the south coast of the UK and have 1 aging cat (Hemmingway or Hemmy for short). I love reading, yoga, crafts, baking, daft old comedies, music and teaching.

On this page you can find my homeschool blog, if you want to read my general, day-to-day blog, click the link below :)

Mmmmm! Chocolate!

for tomorrow :)

My brother came round today with a box of choccies for me for Easter which was very lovely of him (and shall be thoroughly enjoyed!) He gave the kids £5 each because he'd asked me before hand whether that would be better so they could choose a little Easter pressie rather than (more) chocolate. I thought it would be better coz they get soooo much - anyway, they were both very pleased.

I did April a little bento style lunch today - peanut butter sandwiches cut into cute shapes, flower shaped cheese and chopped up tomato. This is what she asked for and she's still totally hooked on having it all in a bento lunch box although I didn't pack it all properly seeing as we weren't actually going anywhere. Sorry about the blurred pic but I thought I'd show it as I was talking about our new bento stuff the other day. I made a bit of a bodge job of the sandwiches but it was pretty cute :)

April did some drawing today - she drew Yoshi on the chalkboard and it was amazingly good really! Here's her pic and then the "real" Yoshi for comparison:

Tomorrow I've got to get up bright and early to hide eggs for the kids annual egg hunt and then take my poor, knackered husband some breakfast before he gets up to go to do the church service. He's working a lot at the moment because there's been a lot of church things and, in his "daytime" job, someone is off and he's got overtime - he did Thursday, Good Friday and today and then he's doing Bank holiday Monday, then Wednesday and then his normal hours Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Although this doesn't sound bad, when you think that he has to get up at 4.00 a.m each day for this and it's a very physical job ... well, it sounds a bit worse! I much admire him :) It's a good job he does actually quite enjoy his work isn't it?

We're also off round his mum's tomorrow for Easter lunch which should be nice - her dinners usually are. Then, it'll be home for chocolate and erm... chocolate .... and ..... y'know ;) Tim popped into Thornton's the other day and got a VERY nice box of choccies, yuuuuum!

Be back after the weekend :) Byeee!
