Sunny days!

We've had some really quite unseasonably warm weather recently (certainly nice after the horrific howling gales a little while ago!) Consequently, we've seen a fair bit of wildlife that probably shouldn't be pootling about at this time of year.

Yesterday, we spotted a Red Admiral butterfly fluttering around outside our living room window and I noticed that it seemed to have settled down on the front of the house to sunbathe. I grabbed the camera and went outside, found the butterfly and started giggling - it had landed on our house number and, for all the world, looked like something we'd stuck on as a decoration! :D

It was very beautiful and lovely to see - if a little early in the year. These warm days have certainly helped to ease us into the new year gently. :)
