Well, we went off out to Hengistbury Head this afternoon for a walk - much enjoyed by everyone. There's something about that place that no matter HOW stressed, unhappy or generally bogged-down I am, I come away from there at peace. Today, I didn't realise just how much I needed to be there until we got right up the top, sat on a bench and gazed out at the view over Mudeford. I literally felt the tension drain out of me.
Everyone needs a place like that to go to :) I sat there today and listened to the lazy bees and the splashing waves and smelled the odd-coconutty smell of the gorse flowers and felt the sun on my face and every single bit of stress or hassle in my life just ..... went.
We came home and had custard tarts for tea ..... can't get better than that :)
I also (after asking Tim!) decided "to hell with the money" and ordered April a Rainbows tshirt new from the Guide store. Originally, I was going to get her trousers to but she'll have to wait to another day for them (so I wasn't being completely financially reckless!) I put it on first class post so have got everything crossed that it will arrive by the post on Thursday morning ready for her to wear that afternoon. At any rate, at least I can tell her now that it's been ordered with all truthfullness!
Got to go and water my plants outside - got spring onions, lettuce, carrots and sweetcorn growing at the moment :)
Have a good evening!
