Another roasting day in the south of England! Very lovely indeed but it is supposed to be getting a little cooler for the next few days with some rain forecast. This will actually be quite welcome (my plants will be happy!) - I love the sun but a bit of rain to freshen things up is good :)
Went out shopping today - Rosie wanted to get a couple of books and I wanted a decent grammar book (for Rosie not me!) and some card and glue and sketch pads for the kids. Just "stuff" really! While we were in Waterstones, April saw a Club Penguin sticker book she wanted so we got it for her. When she got home and tried it the stickers were not (despite what the cover of the book said!) reusable and she was getting quite upset.

Then I had a light bulb moment - I took the stickers and stuck them onto some regular paper and then laminated them. Once cut out she had some little (very durable) play pieces for the scenes in the book! April was very, very pleased ... "you're very clever today mummy" .....
.... suggesting that perhaps most days my intelligence levels are only mediocre. Hmmm..... *laughs*
